Get Grounded! - Safety Tips
- Only use exterior rated extension cords outdoors
- Discard extension cords with a missing 3rd prong
- Ensure exterior cords, tools and products are
plugged into GFCI protected outlets
- Keep outdoor outlets covered and dry
- Never leave extension cords outside in the
winter for extended periods
- Replace outdoor extension cords every 3 to 4
years, or if damaged
